Pharein, a 3yo filly, emerged from nowhere this spring, and ended her campaign with a Sunline type record, of around 8 starts for 7 wins. Almost unheard of for a 3yo filly in the spring, Pharein won the two Flemington big springs, the Group 1 Salinger Stakes on Derby Day, and the Group 2 Emirates Classic on Oaks Day. She is a big strong filly, and was ridden by Brett Prebble on both these occasions.
