A nice big strong colt, Dracula was the first Group 1 winner for his sire, Quest for Fame, who standards at the Ingham's Woodlands Stud. At 2 he won the Group 1 AJC Champagne Stakes, and the QTC Sires' Produce Stakes, and at 3 he added the Group 1 WFA George Main Stakes to his tally, in the process lowering the boom on the "boom" on the match race between Might and Power and Tycoon Lil. Dracula failed to go in once he got to Melbourne, running unplaced in the G1 Caulfield Guineas (behind Kenwood Melody), and the Cox Plate behind the great horse Might and Power. He is expected to run well next autumn, and with his sire an English Derby winner, Dracula must still be considered a good chance in the AJC Derby.
