Nikon D2XS
This camera is Nikon's top of the line, professional digital camera. It's not cheap, and therefore is probably mostly reserved for professional photographers, but I've really enjoyed using this camera.
The D2Xs doesn't have as nice a LCD as the D200, but it has this great function called a full frame or a high speed crop mode. In it's full frame mode, the camera is a 12 mega pixel camera with a 1.5x magnification, with a motor drive speed of 5 fps, and a buffer of 16 RAW + JPG images. In it's high speed crop mode, it shoots 8 fps, with a 2x magnification, and its buffer jumps to 27 (or 29??) consecutive RAW + JPGs images, making it an ideal sporting camera. In this mode, the resolution is nearly 7 mega pixels, so there's a bit of a trade off, but the image quality is still terrific, and the 2x crop is good fun with long lenses.
Below is a gallery of race images I've taken with the camera. It's auto focus is generally very good, although it is important to remember not to start too soon, because of that running out of buffer thing. One frustrating aspect of shooting RAW, but the end results are worth it. You just need to remember to keep your head! The D2XS also has an improved feature from the D2X, in that the high speed crop now features a greyed out area to help composition when in the high speed mode. I've found this to be a real improvement, because it was easy to forget you were in the high speed mode if you tend to swap back and forward a little bit like I do, which resulted in chopped off heads! Tracking a moving target with this new focusing screen in this mode is now much easier as a result.
